The Story
How someone with 38 years in hotels ended up writing code.
1987 — Where it started
I started as a security man at a Nigerian hotel. I learned hospitality from the bottom — how a guest walks in, what they notice, what makes them come back. From there I moved into sales, then into events and artiste promotion, then into admin and HR.
Deputy General Manager
By the time I reached Deputy General Manager (Admin), I'd seen the whole business — from the front gate to the boardroom. I'd also seen the same problem over and over: hotels couldn't find the right staff, and staff couldn't find the right hotels.
The leap into tech
I resigned as DGM and worked as a hospitality recruiter — matching hotels with the people they needed. But I kept running into the same wall: no system to do it at scale. So I taught myself web design, software development, and graphic design. Not because I wanted to be a developer. Because I needed a tool that didn't exist.
Today — OneStackDA
Now I build websites and software for Nigerian businesses — with the perspective of someone who has run them. Every project I take on is something I've personally felt the need for.
